Spring 2025 Quilt Retreat
For two days, you'll have the opportunity to immerse yourself in a world of quilting, creativity, and relaxation. This retreat is scheduled for Friday, May 16th, and Saturday, May 17th, 2025.
Located in the charming town of Parkville, Missouri, the retreat will be held at the Sewing Lounge, a spacious and well-appointed facility next to the Fabric Chic Quilt Shop. Surrounded by beautiful shops and picturesque views, Parkville is the perfect setting for this inspiring and rejuvenating event.
The Sewing Lounge is the perfect place for a quilt retreat! Each workstation has an adjustable table, a nice rolling chair and ample power supply. The facility boasts multiple ironing stations, a few large cutting stations, a small dining area with a fully stocked coffee and hot tea bar!
Retreat Pattern, Fabric Kit & Lesson
In addition to all the benefits of the retreat itself, you'll also receive a special bonus – the Spring Tulip Parade Table Runner pattern + kit!
We will have a lesson in curved piecing, so you can make this table runner at the retreat. The kit includes the pattern, templates and all the fabric for the table runner top and the cute striped binding too!
Whether you want to work on the project during the retreat or take it home with you to work on it at your leisure, the choice is yours. 🌷
Friday, May 16th
• Retreat Center opens at 9:00 AM – Set up and start sewing
• Enjoy a yummy continental breakfast (provided)
• Coffee, tea, and ice water available all day
• Quilt Shop opens at 10:00 AM (Purchases available starting now)
• 10:00 AM: Curved Piecing Lesson
(You’ll receive your group project pattern and kit. Working on this during the retreat is optional, but this lesson ensures you’re ready to successfully complete your project either at the retreat or at home.)
• Lunch Break at 12:00 PM – Sandwiches catered by Panera (eat at your sewing station or in the break room)
• Sewing resumes at 1:00 PM
• 6:00 PM Group Dinner (Dutch treat)
• Evening Sewing from 7:00 PM – 9:00 PM
• Retreat Center closes at 9:00 PM
Saturday, May 17th
• Retreat Center opens at 9:00 AM
• Enjoy a yummy continental breakfast (provided)
• Coffee, tea, and ice water available all day
• Quilt Shop opens at 10:00 AM (Purchases available starting now)
• Lunch Break at 12:00 PM – Sandwiches catered by Panera
• Sewing resumes at 1:00 PM
• Retreat ends at 6:00 PM (No group dinner planned)
Overnight Accomodations
While overnight accommodations are on your own, there are several beautiful hotels and downtown suite accommodations close by. So, whether you choose to stay in a luxurious hotel or a cozy downtown rental, you'll have everything you need for a comfortable and convenient stay.

What to expect
And, because we want you to have the best possible experience, a hearty Continental Breakfast & a light lunch is provided on each day of the retreat. That way, you can fully focus on your projects without worrying about finding time to grab a bite to eat. Dinner is on your own. There are a variety of wonderful dining options within walking distance of the retreat center.
