Churn Chain Quilt Pattern
This quilt is based on a traditional Churn Dash block paired with a simple 9-patch block.
It's arranged such that the chains frame and emphasize the Churn Dash block, giving a colorful and modern effect.
Six different fabrics arranged in diagonal lines across the quilt give extra movement. A coloring sheet is provided to help you decide how you want your own quilt to look.
This pattern has been designated as advanced beginner. There are no complicated steps, there are just a lot of pieces. Labeling is your friend. Label each piece as you cut and make sure the labels are transferred as you begin to sew and cut subunits. This will make your life much easier. Throughout the pattern, each piece, subunit, and block will be labeled with its fabric designation (a letter) and a number to help keep track of things.
Multiple Size Options
One of the best things about this quilt pattern is that it can be made in a variety of sizes. The pattern includes four sizes, ranging from a throw-sized quilt to a king-sized quilt, making it perfect for any bed or space in your home. Whether you’re looking for a small quilt for a chair or couch or a large quilt for a king-sized bed, this pattern has you covered.
The directions are always in great detail with follow-along images to help. I love the coloring plan page at the back, so you can have that with you throughout the piecing process.
